📊 Section 1: The Core 4-Paragraph Structure

Regardless of whether you are analyzing a line graph or a bar chart, the foundational structure remains the same for achieving high Coherence and Cohesion.

  1. Introduction (Paraphrase): State clearly what the chart shows, replacing key words with synonyms.
  2. Overall Summary (The Overview): Describe the **most striking features** and **general trends** (e.g., the majority increased, but one specific item decreased). **Crucially, do not include any numbers here.**
  3. Body Paragraph 1 (BP1): Detail the data for the **main trend** (e.g., the items that showed an increase or the highest values).
